There was ugly politics in the church at Corinth. Some angry enemy was scouring Paul's every move, hoping to find a character flaw. And, of course, he finally found something: an innocent change of travel plans became 'proof' that Paul was 'not a man of his word'. Ugly all right; but Paul's beautiful defense is wonderful instruction for us today and it is all about integrity.
