About Us:
We are a Co-Op! What that means is that our parents assume many of the responsibilities of running the administration of the Co-Op. We have a Parent Job's list that you sign up for when your child is enrolled. The teachers work alongside with the parents to fulfill the roles of the those jobs. What makes us different from traditional Co-Ops that we have two teachers who plan the lessons and collect the needed supplies so our parents are not having to teach, but, rather, they are just assisting in the classroom.
We believe in providing children with an environment that is based upon their interests and a curriculum that is guided by them as well. This leads them to be comfortable to explorable to explore and to ask questions about the world around them. We want the children to be active constructors of their knowledge in order to help them become life-long learners.
Bible is incorporated into the classroom on a daily basis. Each morning is started with prayer and guiding with children to understand who we are praying to and what it means. We, also, take a biblical perspective when it comes to conflict resolution and understanding the world around us. The Co-Op exists as a ministry of CCOT which enables the Co-Op to partner with the church's children's ministries and many of their outreaches.
PROGRAMS & STATEMENT OF FAITH
We offer two different programs. Both programs start at 9 am and end at 12 pm. They run Monday thru Thursday. We have a pre-k class and a 2 - 4 year old class!
We believe that each little one is God's perfect creation, and we strive to meet each child's developmental and educational needs. Therefore, it is our goal to provide a positive, safe, nurturing educational environment where your child will feel loved and secure.
The purpose of Calvary Chapel Old Towne's Co-Op Preschool is to provide a loving, Christ-centered environment for children in a developmentally appropriate program. Our the focus of our program includes: Biblical World View, the development of physical skills (fine and gross); creativity; social, emotional and spiritual development. We will be exploring the outdoors and planting a garden; nurturing our faith through Chapel time; exercising our creativity with arts, singing and musical instruments; and developing large motor skills in our Motor Lab. We will offer a loving and stimulating environment that will encourage your child to: ask question; respect others' thoughts, and follow through with various assigned projects.
