Come with us on Saturday, August 24th, as we ride the Aerial Tramway to the top of the 8,000-foot mountain, where we can see the view of the Palm Springs valley. We will also hike and have lunch. There will be an optional Date Shake on the way home. The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is "The world's largest rotating tram car." It travels over two and a half miles along the breathtaking cliffs of Chino Canyon, transporting riders to the pristine wilderness of Mt. San Jacinto State Park. During your ten-minute journey, tram cars rotate slowly, offering picturesque and spectacular vistas of the valley floor below. Once you reach the Mountain Station-elevation 8,516 feet-enjoy: • TWO RESTAURANTS • NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM • GIFT SHOP • OBSERVATION DECKS • TWO DOCUMENTARY THEATERS • OVER 50 MILES OF HIKING TRAILS The cost of the tram round trip ticket is $34.95, and seniors are $31.95 & children are $20.95. Documentary movies at the top are free. You can pack a lunch or eat at the cafe. We will leave CCOT at 10:15 A.M., and we can carpool, caravan, or meet at the Tram ticket office at Noon.
